York Sports Village City Kickers (4 - 7 Years Old)

Come and join us for some morning football at our City Kickers Player Development Centre. City Kickers is the perfect way for your young player to develop their footballing skills which will help them develop to join or enhance their grass roots game and is an ideal way to meet new friends who also share a love of the game All sessions will follow a theme such as dribbling, passing, shooting with the emphasis on using the FA's 4 corner model to develop the 'whole player'. Coaches will work on technical, physical, psychological and social aspects of development throughout each course. Coaches will work on individual skills these will compliment the training that each player receives with their grass roots clubs. Those players currently not involved with a grass roots team but who wish to do so can be signposted to suitable local teams. There will also be opportunities to move up to the York City Football Club Foundation player pathway to the City Elite programme for those players that show exceptional talent.
