The Cheltenham Town Community, Education & Sporting Trust offers and delivers a range of Multi Sport activities across the County of Gloucestershire. The sessions include but are not limited to football, cricket, tennis, athletics, hockey and netball and are delivered by way of Holiday Courses, After School Clubs and in Curriculum Coaching.

Our coaches only deliver the sport they are qualified in and most coaches are qualified in two or three sports. Every coach is a FA Licensed Coach and all lead coaches are Football Association level 2 qualified. The coach will have completed an emergency course, a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) enhanced disclosure and will have attended a Safeguarding Children course.

Our coaches are currently undertaking the Football Association Youth Modules, which is a further enhancement in their understanding of player development. The Youth Modules cover elements of the FA's four corners model:

  • Social
  • Technical
  • Social
  • Psychological

Currently the Trust delivers coaching sessions to approximately 35 After School Clubs per week.

Our holiday courses are designed to engage boys and girls of all abilities aged between 5-13 years inclusive. The courses are delivered at the football club’s official training ground and at various schools and community centres around the County. Every course offers outfield football coaching and skill sessions combined with fun and games. All courses include a player visit where possible and a guest appearance from Whaddney the Robin our official club mascot. Our courses are delivered in a safe and fun environment.

The Trust provides in Curriculum Physical Education (PE) lessons and PPA (Planning Preparation and Assessment) sessions. PPA sessions are designed to create time for schools and teachers to plan and prepare for lessons but at the same time feel confident in the knowledge that the pupils are receiving quality PE sessions. All Sports are included and can be changed each term to ensure all PE subjects are covered. The PPA sessions can be organised for a whole school year or on a term by term basis. We provide a scheme of works at the start of each term and a lesson plan is produced prior to each session.
