All project deliverers are trained to an FA Level 2 standard in football coaching, but are also completing a level 3 qualification in the delivery of Physical Education in Primary Schools. They also have a range of sporting qualifications including level one qualifications in –

  • Handball
  • Dodge ball
  • Touchk ball
  • Fencing
  • Multi sports.

Reading FC CT work in over 50 primary schools across Berkshire and our holiday courses reach over 2000 children each year.

In addition to sports courses, Reading FC CT deliver a number of intervention programmes working with both primary and secondary schools providing –

  • 1 to 1 mentoring sessions – either at the Madejski stadium or at the school site
  •  Choices programme – highlighting choices both in and out of school
  • Back on Track programme – working with pupils who may be at risk of exclusion from school

In partnership with the Premier League we also deliver the Kicks programme, delivering football sessions in targeted areas, engaging with hard to reach young people and delivering both social and educational workshops to help tackle any specific issues within the local communities

The Trust also deliver the Premier league Girls programme delivering football based sessions to young females who may have fallen out of the game or may not have started playing football yet, ensuring that we engage with as many participants as we can signposting them onto playing/engagement pathways

Reading FC CT deliver a number of sessions and projects through the My Ability programme concentrating on young participants with SEN [special educational needs] requirements working alongside SEN schools and colleges.
