Our Development centres are put in place to welcome all ability levels to weekly training sessions where we aim to introduce new skills and techniques. A lot of what we do at our training sessions is based around the technical side of the game. We coach with the whole-part-whole strategy where we work on game scenarios based on the weekly topic. Our main aim is to focus on developing players technically and giving them the opportunity to progress to our Advance centres where they will then learn about the tactical side of the game.
Reading FC Community Trust cannot be held responsible for anything that comes to light after the booking is made and may jeopardise any treatment in the event of an accident.
Children attending courses should not be let unsupervised at the venue until the course day starts and ends.
We expect parents/guardians to collect their children promptly at the end of the session. If children are not collected within 30 minutes the relevant action will be taken to ensure the safety of the child.

No Credits or refunds for missed weeks. Should RFC Community Trust have to cancel a session we will endeavour to add another session on at the end of the block - if we are unable to do this, we will issue a credit note.

When attending sessions, neither the Pupil nor the Parent/Carer/Guardian will be suffering from any contagious illness, disease, injury, or anything similar. It is the Parent/Carer/Guardian responsibility to inform Reading FC Community Trust about any condition that could affect their child’s performance during sessions. You agree to inform us of any changes, as soon as you become aware of them by contacting the office (see below).

Emergency evacuation purposes: Please inform the coaching team if you intend to leave the session early for any reason.

For insurance purposes: Please keep siblings, buggies, and associated equipment off the playing area at all times.

Foods hazard: Food will only be eaten during organised breaks and should not be eaten during any football/ sports session to avoid the hazard of choking.

Safeguarding & Child protection: To comply with our ‘Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy’ and best practice, we request that parents/carers DO NOT take photographs or videos at sessions. Our coaches will do their best to enforce this; however, due to the nature of their works during sessions, no guarantee is given that they can enforce this. On occasions, Reading FC community Trust may organise photo shoots, but if only parental consents have been obtained.

Our Classes: Are designed with pupil’s physical, social, cognitive, and emotional development in mind. Moving children into classes before a certain age could be challenging for them and detrimental to their progress. We have therefore, applied a minimum and maximum age to each level, which is based around these considerations and must be adhered to. Reading FC Community Trust may decide to move children up age groups dependent on their physical, technical and mental ability.
