The Day

Shrewsbury Town In The Community Soccer Schools offer opportunities for boys and girls aged between 5 and 14 to develop their football skills in the school holidays.

We run our popular Soccer Schools in Shrewsbury, North Shropshire and South Shropshire to give boys and girls an opportunity of learning to play the Shrewsbury Town way.

Courses run for both 4 days and 2 days during the school holidays and start at 9am and finish at 3pm. On the first day of the Soccer Schools we ask parents to bring their children at 845 to enrol and to split them up into their coaching groups for the day. Once players are put into their groups they will follow our Soccer School curriculum which includes structured technical coaching sessions with chances to develop their skills in small sided games.

Each day, players who train in the right manner and show great teamwork skills will have the chance of winning STFC prizes for ‘Player of the Day’. Players who attend will also receive a Certificate of Attendance.

If you would like any information on the Soccer Schools please contact communitysportstrust@shrewsburytown.co.uk or phone us on 01743 289177 EXT 216

“It's great to see so many children enjoying these community led sessions. The coaches are enthusiastic about the work they do and make sure that those who attend the sessions get as much as possible out of their day!”
