  • I would like to say a massive thank you for looking after my son so well, he had a fantastic time. Your coaches are a credit to the club!

    Daniel Simpson, Oxford

  • My son took part in one of the Oxford United Football Camps this week, and had a fantastic time. The coaches were great with the kids. They had lots of fun, learned some football and came home extremely tired, which is great. And the courses are good value for money. Thanks again to everyone involved!

  • A huge thank you from behalf of Kidlington Cavaliers U7s for the care and attention we received from Oxford United in the Community. From the first moment the boys arrived at the ground they were looked after and nothing was too much trouble. All the children really enjoyed the experience of having the tour, meeting the players and playing football at the ground.

    Max Page, Kidlington

OUitC courses offer a fun-filled way to get involved in football and learn new skills.

In 2016 the Guardian said that “shrewd management, ambitious ownership and exciting attacking football are combining to make Oxford a force to be reckoned with.” After promotion to League 1 at the end of last season, and continuing strong performances in 2017, there is much to enjoy at Oxford United, both on and off the pitch.

Oxford United in the Community courses are run by the club’s best and most qualified coaches, who are all FA qualified to Level 1 and above with up to date safeguarding and DBS checks. We run courses throughout the year – after school and during the school holidays, as well as during term time in partnership with school partners. Content varies depending on the programme, but will always aim to develop confidence, respect, fair play and teamwork, as well as good fun!

Our main programmes are:

Holiday courses:- offered throughout full and half-term school holidays, these will generally consist of a daily warm up, skills-based activities (passing, turning, dribbling, shooting etc.) and ‘mini matches’. Where available, courses involve player visits from the men’s and women’s first teams, and each child will receive a complimentary ticket to watch Oxford United play and certificate of achievement.

Future Talent Hubs:- hour-long weekly sessions during term time offering starter-level technical coaching to girls and boys of any ability from 4 to 12. Ideal for those new to football, as well as to members of competitive grassroots or school teams. Every child will receive a progress report after completing the 12-week programme, and players progressing well may be given the opportunity to trial for the Emerging Talent programme.

Emerging Talent:- an invitation-only programme offering U7-14s an opportunity to train in a team environment, improving both individual ability and technical and tactical knowledge of the game. Contact us for further information.

“The Oxford United in the Community courses are great. My son has attended them, and has really enjoyed the opportunity to get to know and play with kids of his own age. The coaches work to high technical standards, but are really good at enabling children and teenagers of all abilities to join in and feel involved. ”
