From Soccer Schools to After Schools clubs. From Multi-Sport to Match Day Experience, OSS activities, built upon a foundation of sport, inclusion, health and education support young people in living healthy active lives.
Catering to boys and girls aged 6 to 14 years old, our school holiday based courses are highly popular for children of all abilities. Giving participants the chance to learn the fundamentals of the beautiful game, from professional coaches. Reading FC Community Trust provide and safe environment for children to learn new skills, improve technique whilst having lots of fun at the same time. We also offer specific Girls Only and Goalkeeper specific Soccer Schools.
These clubs take place at your school, and are based around a weekly topic. They aim to cater to children of all abilities and age groups (age/year specific session can be arranged between the school and The Community Trust) and give them a chance to develop exciting skills or techniques, or the chance to learn a new skill or technique. At the end of each session the participants have the opportunity to practice the things learnt within the session, in fun small sided games.
The programme is an invite only 3 tier system where players can be scouted by coaches or scouts, through after school clubs, lunch time clubs, soccer schools, in school coaching or any other community events. Scouts can also scout players at local football team games. The programme is designed to develop players who maybe are not ready for academy but show aspects of their game that are good. The aim is to improve all players and try to push players up the pyramid when they are ready. To do this the coaches work to a syllabus which has a link in to the academy syllabus so that the players have an idea of what the academy players are working towards.
